While surfing the net, researching about trendy advertisements,  i happened to open a certain print ad that really caught my attention. This one is not just like any ordinary print ad that has aggression, obsession and other sex- related themes. This as well portrays a quite unusual taste of  print ads known to everybody.  And i bet that anyone who’ll get to see this type of ad will definitely raise their eye brows. I did, actually.

This is an advertisement from United Kingdom that was ‘unfortunately’ banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. Obviously, it’s because of the content of the message that this ad is trying to convey.

Now, guess what product is this ad endorsing.

Is it a condom? a perfume? a liquor?

The answer is- none of the above!

Believe it or not, it supposed to endorse an ice cream product.

Yeah, you heard it right. An ice cream. Connection please!

Personally, I don’t even get the point why and how did the creative group of the advertising company of this product came up to this kind of ad.

And, take note of the caption: Submit to Temptation.

What is it driving at?

Does it encourage people to be sinners?

Does it only want to be cool? trendy? unique?

How far will the company go in order to make their ad appealing?

Is linking sex and religion  justifiable as long as the ad sells?

Nah, I think that’s too much.

It’s way beyond the boundary.

It clearly promotes obscenity and damages religious image.

The ad is apparently offensive, irreligious and   unethical.

I wonder why nowadays, most of the ad-tv or print- focuses on sex-oriented themes on their commercials.

But this one is the worst ad I’ve ever known. It’s absolutely unforgivable.

I wonder if anybody actually patronizes this kind of ad. If there is, I just don’t know what kind of people are they.
